Swinburne Senior Secondary College (SSSC) is a state run high school for students in the final two years of schooling Year 11 and 12 in Melbourne, Australia. It is quite a notable high school, being renowned for its advanced media faculty. It is rare in Melbourne as most secondary schools run from Year 7-12. However many secondary schools are now generally divided into two or three sub schools with two subschools (Years 7-9) and (10-12) becoming common.
This school was initially founded before the 1960s and known as Swinburne Technical College, It had undergone renovations of the main building in 2001/2002 to give the buildings a more modern feel, In 2007 the school began another series of renovations to remove the last of the 'old but well kept' buildings.
Swinburne Senior Secondary College has no uniform, and Wednesdays are generally a day off. Students from other schools often come in on this day to share SSSC's facilities for VET subjects.
